• We start with a very low price and include photo enhancement and the option to scan both sides at no additional charge.  If these were extras they could double or triple what you would pay.  Not at Nickelscan.com.

• We do have a minimum charge $50 plus shipping per order.  But if you comparison shop you'll find that Nickelscan saves money with orders as small as 300 photos or smaller.  We suggest that if you have a small order you get photos from family or friends so that you ship at least 1000.

• We charge you for the actual number of photos scanned. Fill the flat rate box with as many photos as you can. It will hold between 1300 and 1500 4x6 photos for example. When we have finished scanning we determine the number of scans from the files on the DVD and contact you for payment of the exact number of scans.

• This method saves you money over the flat rate "fill the Box deals" in most cases.  If the cost of a "fill the box deal" is $100 plus shipping for example you have to fit over 2000 photos in the box to beat Nickelscan.  If you have 1500 photos, "fill the box" would cost you almost 7 cents each.  We scan photos as small as 3"x3" up to 8"x11" and it is very unlikely you will be able to fit over 2000 photos in an 11"x 8.5"x 5.5" flat rate box.  And remember we offer "enhancement and "both sides" included in the price.

• For billing purposes when we count the files on the DVD we only count the original scan front files.  We do not count the enhancement files or the scans of the photo's back, they are included in the price.  We also credit you for an aproximate number of index cards that are used for markers.   

• For larger orders you can order additional boxes.  You can also order them later as you need them.  Once you have met the 1000 photo minimum we will only charge you a nickle each for any scans you send.

• You can send us photos in any number or any shipping method you like and specify your return shipping preference. Just fill out the Self Ship form and when we complete your order we'll call you for payment.  The $50 minimum order does apply.
